Perry
Goldberg
Founder of ThriveLA. Harvard Law graduate with Honors.

Perry Goldberg is a Los Angeles-based lawyer, social entrepreneur and philanthropist who relishes the challenge of solving problems in a wide array of areas. Perry is the President of E Pluribus University (“Pluribus”) (www.EPluribusUniversity.org), which he founded in 2013. Pluribus is a 501(c)(3) non-profit developing innovative models for collaborative problem-solving to address global issues. Perry’s focus on problem solving dates back to his childhood. At the age of 12, he devised a unique method for solving the Rubik’s Cube, his fastest time (17 seconds) beating the then- world-record (21 seconds). Perry believes every problem has a solution, and that belief fuels his drive to find those solutions. Pluribus’s first major project – ThriveLA (www.ThriveLA.org) – is an attempt to help solve the problem of veteran homelessness by creating a blueprint for modern homesteads in Los Angeles’s high desert. Perry founded this project in February 2015 and leads its vision. He has immersed himself in intensive studies about veteran issues, land development, earthen construction, and desert-specific agriculture. He is excited to put this knowledge to use through the ThriveLA project. Perry graduated with honors from Harvard Law School in 1993 and brings to the ThriveLA project nearly 30 years of legal experience. This expertise has been pivotal in developing ThriveLA’s plan for navigating the thicket of rules and regulations that pertain to the project. As a lawyer, Perry has received numerous industry accolades, including being selected eleven times by Los Angeles Magazine as a Southern California “Super Lawyer.” As an intellectual property litigator, he has helped clients receive more than $1 billion from their intellectual property in judgments, settlements and licenses. Prior to law school, Perry studied economics and finance at the Wharton School of Business, where he graduated in three years in the top 1% of his class. Utilizing his business training, Perry founded Right Angle Ventures LLC (“Right Angle”) (www.RightAngleVentures.com) to pursue various social entrepreneurship opportunities. Through Right Angle, he has purchased approximately 100 acres of land in Los Angeles, most of it in the Antelope Valley. Perry is a fun-loving idealist who believes in enjoying life while trying to make the world a better place.

We will help pair you up every week leading up to the event. More details in our Slack.
Live design and coding workshops begins August 3rd at 5pm PST. These workshops allow you to see how pros work in real time, and you can learn from their successes and failures. The hackathon also provides an opportunity to meet others and discuss the latest trends in Tech. If you're looking to improve your skills and network with others, our hackathon is the perfect place to start.
We hold our hackathons over Framevr.io for a fully immersive experience on the metaverse. There's nothing to download and the platform works best on Google Chrome. There will be private audio zones and you will be able to share your screen as well.
Framevr is an immersive 3D space where you can work together with other developers in the same room to create rich experiences, or just hang out and chat.
What's the time commitment? Put out as much as you can to help your team.
When you join us for this event, you'll be able to meet veterans from all over the place. Each one of us brings a unique perspective to the table and you'll be able to collab with one another during our networking breakout sessions.
We know that finding opportunities in tech can be hard, so it's important that we take advantage of every chance we get to connect with other pros who are going through the same thing. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
